For those of you who went through the process of going from the reserves to active, how long did it take?

You've been playing a game of hurry up and wait on an Olympic level. It's been a month and you're starting to get doubtful.. then all of a sudden...

How long did the process take for you going from reserves to active? And how did it feel when you got approved or rejected?

SGT Private RallyPoint Member Get used to it... that's what the ARMY has perfected... hurry up & wait. I still won't stand in a line... anywhere & I've been out 50+ years.

For me, from start to finish (as in shipping off to Active Duty) the total time was 6 months. The only reason it was that long was because I had gotten into an accident that severely injured me and severely delayed my departure. If it had not been for that, the process would have been 3 months.

In 1999 I Went From PA Guard to Active ARMY, It Took 4 Months, I Don’t Know About Now.
