For those with dependents enrolled in EFMP, how long did it take to get a command sponsorship response for Korea or similar OCONUS? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/for-those-with-dependents-enrolled-in-efmp-how-long-did-it-take-to-get-a-command-sponsorship-response-for-korea-or-similar-oconus

Good afternoon, RP.

My wife and I later last year had our son speak to a military appointed child psychologist as he was displaying a few behavioral issues after my wife gave birth to our second child. He was ultimately diagnosed after several visits with minor/nonclinical ADHD. He doesn't require medication, specified therapy, etc. The only "treatment plan" was to have a few progress report appointments to see how the psychologist's general recommendations on dealing nonclinical ADHD are working.

Unfortunately however, my son was involuntarily enrolled into EFMP regardless of not requiring specialized treatment. My wife and I are frivolously working to get dis-enrolled, but it won't happen in time for my Korea PCS. With that said, EFMP was involved in my command sponsorship paperwork, so it's taking a lot longer than expected.

My command sponsorship packet/paperwork was sent to Korea's offices mid-July, and we are now nearing September without any response. I report to Korea early November, so I am beginning to worry. Did anyone with a dependent enrolled in EFMP experience a long wait time for an approval or denial response?

Perhaps even more specifically, did anyone with dependents with ADHD face any issues obtaining command sponsorship?

Thank you.
