For those working civilian jobs with people from other branches, what good natured interservice rivalry shenanigans occur in the workplace?

In my office we have a Marine Corp vet whose husband--whom she met when on AD--is today a SNCO in the Marine Reserve. We get along great, but occasionally poke fun at one another based on our respective branches of service. Again, it’s all in fun; no butt-hurt allowed.

So with that in mind, because of the “Marines eating crayons” running gag, for the upcoming Marine Corp birthday, I have two small boxes of crayons I plan on wrapping in a bow and will present to her compliments of the U.S. Army!

So what interservice rivalry jokes and gags do you do around the office?

I work with a Marine veteran, and we frequently give each other grief. Half the time, HE starts the "was JUST a Marine"/things involving crayons jokes... Either way, we both get a good laugh out of it.

I work with a couple of Marines, a couple of Airmen, and Occasional Navy Vet. Damn if it isn't the Flyboys who seem to have the most made up stories I have ever heard of.

I haven't had the chance to with with a lot of other vets except once for a short time. As I recall we didn't Pike fun at each other much. People there were too serious about work.

One of my best friends after my military life was Marine... who I called Squid. He was good natured and gave me just as much abuse. The bottom line was while we could screw with one another, no one screw with us... you know how it goes.

Worked in a small section with five people. Myself (retired AF), a retired Navy Master Chief, a retired Army WO, an Army vet, and a guy who was an A1C in the Air Guard. We would give each other crap all the time, but it was all in good nature. AF got crap for living in luxury everywhere, the Army got crap for not having ASVAB scores good enough to get in the AF, and the Navy for all their crazy uniforms and weird stuff that neither the AF/Army could comprehend.

When I was in college and hung out in the veterans' lounge (yeah that's a thing at my University) we usually poked fun not so much at the branches we were in, but the jobs we picked and our experiences with them. Infantry vs POG, medic vs public affairs, that sort of thing. We CE together really quickly though when it came to military training sessions and courses that could count toward our respective degree requirements. We were always really good about sharing that kind of intel.
