SGT (Join to see) Sarge, that article is 6 years old, in case you didn't notice.

The reason I say that is that anyone with any computer knowledge will definitely choose a 64 bit operating system over a 32. Vastly more addressable memory, and most of the disadvantages listed there are no longer pertinent, particularly the 'lack of 64 bit software' one. I can't think of a single application I can't get in 64 bit these days, though there may be some few.

I'm not a computer geek. I do, however, think I do well with exposing them on Rallypoint. I get responses from the same people every time I post an IT question, and I love it.

PO3 Dale S. - Anything of that sort nowadays is going to be so old that it's almost surely superseded by better versions. Having said that, I've never seen a 32 bit app that wouldn't run on 64. What'd you have in mind?

SN Greg Wright - As of right now, seems Simple Screen Reader and FL Studio won't play nicely on 64 bit. But Kazaam and LMMS/Qtractor deal with that.

64 bit.... it's twice as good as 32 bit.... :-) Sorry, couldn't resist. The Data pathway is twice the size, faster flow of data, right?

64 bit. And because it allows for more RAM functionality. I actually can't think of a reason why 32bit would be preferred.
