Prosecutors contend Mullaney, 44, cheated at least 13 people — many of them former Navy SEALs — by convincing them he was using their investment money to make loans.

Prosecutors say he actually spent it on a lavish lifestyle that included luxury cars and a Las Vegas gambling habit.

Well, he is not homeless now, is he? Now all he has to do is write a book and pay the money back. He will have plenty of time to accomplish that.

With today's trends, it might even be a best seller if he titled it "How I screwed SEALS." Although I do not think PETA members would buy it.

Nice that they made his service part of the head line. My real question, was he actually a SeAL? So often in these type stories, the person only claims to be a SeAL? I like that somehow the homeless man is going to pay back over a million dollars too?

Jesse Ventura lost his membership in the Navy SEALs organization (the actual name escapes me at the moment) for his lawsuit against Chris Kyle.

At the very least this man should also lose his membership in any SEAL/Special Warfare/Special Operations organizations.

This is so sad when your own kind does something like this to you. I don't know how they expect him to pay back the money if he was homeless when they arrested him. I believe he shouldn't even be called a veteran, because he doesn't stand for our core values of honor, courage, and commitment.

If he did what the prosecutors say he did he should be punished accordingly. And two bad for the ones who lost out but let this be a less for all. Know where your money is going and dont take someones word actually see that it is going where they say.
