PFC Private RallyPoint Member 4727203

Hey there everyone,

I joined the reserves back in 2011ish and went thru basic and ait with no issues. When I got back home I wasn't able to find a job and didn't have a car. I'm not using that as an excuse just stating it because I'm trying to be up front about the story. I realize it was my responsibility and I failed. I got discharged due to not being able to attend drill at my station which was close to 2 hours away and couldn't get transferred to a closer unit because they didn't have spots for my mos.

I recently got my DD214 in the mail that shows a general under honorable conditions discharge but the RE-code is NA. I can't find much information about this online. I found one thread mentioning officers but I wasn't one. I've been looking into rejoining now as I loved the structure of the military and have matured and come a long way over the last 7 years. Does anyone know what the N/A code means?

I have talked to a recruiter who tried to pull a red report but I believe they said it was showing the same thing. They sent in through email to get my 214 (this was before mine came in the mail after requesting it). I do plan to contact them tomorrow I was just hoping someone here could give me some insight if possible Former reservist with RE-Code N/A? 2019-06-16T15:02:49-04:00 PFC Private RallyPoint Member 4727203

Hey there everyone,

I joined the reserves back in 2011ish and went thru basic and ait with no issues. Now, I’ve been out of the recruiting loop for quite some time but not having a RE code is waaaaayyyyyy much better than having one!!!!!! A DD214 is only for active service. Your 214 is for your basic and AIT portion. It has an NA because you weren't discharged, you were still in the Reserves.
