Just wanting to gather some outside unit views on what life is like at Campbell for an MP. I'm from Paducah, which is an hour and half (give or take) West of it. Been there plenty of times due to Father's deployments, but now its my turn to actually serve there. Just wondering what life is like, how the units are, etc.

You are going to be busy. The 7 plus years that I spent with the 101st ABN DIV are some of the best years I have had in the military, and they were some of the roughest too. The Division maintains a good battle rhythm with their cycles and you will see a little bit of everything from the field to the desk and plenty of road time.
There are a lot of young Soldiers there and they are full of Hoooah and moral, that can tend to lead to silliness and keep you busy. Good luck and enjoy your time.

It was great when I was there, it was my first duty station. I PCS a year and a half ago. It's close to Nashville which is where most Soldiers tent to go on the weekend. Depending on the unit during your three day and four day weekends you can drive to several place like Atlanta, St. Louis, Louisville, Gatlingburg and so on. As far as being in the MP unit I know you will be working different shifts, we did a few class for the MP unit while I was there. But other than that I was in a Combat Operational Stress Control unit that fell under the Combat Support Hospital there. It will be nice that you can visit family only being an hour away. Hope you like it there, I know I enjoyed it.
