I've been doing research on the official policy and can't find anything. I've looked at AR 600-8-10 Army Leave and Pass regulation. It doesn't set a precedent for one. I've looked at there official policy portal nothing there either.

It's going to differ depending on the unit you're assigned to.

Are you between units and just arriving at Fort Liberty (your profile says 1st CAV from III Corps)? If you recently arrived to Fort Liberty and are still part of the 18th ABC's Replacement Company (which receives and in-processes all Soldiers incoming to Fort Liberty), then you're limited to 125 miles until you arrive at your gaining unit after in-processing the post.

After that, then it's specific to the unit that you're assigned to (FORSCOM may be different than 18th ABC which may be different from SOCOM ... etc.).

It is a local Corps/Division policy due to being on DRF status, ie. 2-4-8-16 hour recall notice. On DRF 1, you couldn't safely travel over 250 miles and be on time for movement.

Go check with your BDE legal office. There is an 82nd reg do to the IRF requirements but I can't remember the number off the top of my head (if that applies to you).
