Future of the military

Just general question, with in the next 50 years what do you see or think could happen? A lot has already happened in the last 20 years, weapons, tactics and number of things. It's a broad question but I think an important one.

I am not sure that is completely predictable, I see a lot more bots, more cyber, more politics, more "dirty" tactics and less respect

Spartan Laser, Rail Gun, Helicarrier, Gundams.

I see more cyber warfare and more drones, possibly human controlled robots to reduce casualties.

All countries worth a salt will try to improve and develop weapons and technology for future wars. Much of it will be driven by future doctrine. Much will be worthless junk.

Power armor and mobile infantry if we're lucky. Most likely strong AI and distributed synthetic decision making. Judgement day if we're unlucky.

You can pick out some of the things from science fiction and they will become fact. The rail gun is just about there.
