CPO Private RallyPoint Member WOW, quotas sure do look tight for all of the Rates. Of course with the cutbacks, this is only to be expected. Every First Class Petty Officer needs to make sure he/she is doing all you can today to get the best look at your record at the Board. That means making sure YOU order a copy of your record in advance and seeing what the Bard will see. Each cycle has weight in different categories, but all cycles look at much of the same things: Evaluations, are you doing what you need to do to be recognized; Warfare, are you at least qualified where you are stationed; Community Service (Yes, it is hard to do extra at sea, so what!). Look at the current guidelines and make sure you have done all you can.

Look at your service record and make sure that it does not contain errors or - believe it or not - other peoples pages. If you find errors, get them corrected ASAP.
