Do you believe one should be disqualified for a GCM based on non disciplinary flags? I have not read the reg and have not excuses for failing to night body weight standards those two times, but do not believe it should negate 3 years of keeping straight and narrow. Please let me know your thoughts. Are you efficient? Is your weight issue a behavioral issue?

You are supposed to be strack, not slack.

You have to maintain your standards to be awarded a GCM, you stated that you haven't, which means you answered your own question. If the slip was enough for me to want to type the memo for the commander id do it without hesitation. I wouldnt stop it for that being the sole reason of course unless the flag was active at the time a gcm was given, in which case a flag is a suspence of favorable action meaning you cant be given an award Response by SFC Chris Sedlock made Apr 20 at 2015 1:33 PM 2015-04-20T13:33:23-04:00 2015-04-20T13:33:23-04:00 MAJ Private RallyPoint Member 604212

I'll share a little bit of advice passed on to me many years ago. Read the regs. Then ask questions when you don't understand or need further clarification. AR 600-8-22 is where you need to start.
