Has anyone noticed a lack of respect or service at the large VA’s. I have. Pittsburgh’s pharmacy doesn’t fill prescriptions until you show up even though it’s been in their system for days or weeks. Seems to me, the prescriptions can be filled ahead of time, but you can’t pick it up until the due date. This issue is frustrating to me since I always pick up my controlled medications. I suffer from Chronic Pain and also take Pregabalin or Lyrica. I just found out Lyrica is a controlled medication, so even though my PCP sent down the prescription the day before, it was not filled. I had to wait for an hour. The frustration comes up because I have to drive an hour to get there, suffering from pain from a Titanium Spine. I’ve never had this problem with Rite Aid and don’t understand why it should be different at the VA. Especially when you can hear the music blasting from the pharmacy from the counter.

I would NOT recommend going to the VA unless you have no other choice. Since the new Administration, service has gone downhill in my area.
