When I was deployed to the "Deid" I used to fly a KC-135 T model that was supposedly haunted.

Background The planes tail number was 58-0050, so it was affectionately refereed to as "Balls 50," or by some "Spook 50." The Aircraft has some notable history. It was originally a KC-135 Q model. This particular KC-135 was modified to refuel the SR-71 Blackbird. Unlike most 135's that can burn or offload every drop of fuel this one has a valve that would prevent the fuel from the body tanks to flow in the rest of the system, due to to the very volatile fuel that the SR used.
Before GPS the 135's had a Navigator on board. One of the things that the Navigators had to do was take star readings with a sextant and plot them to determine the aircraft's position over oceanic flights. Back in the day there were two windows on the top of the front section of the airplane near the Navigators sextant port, to allow the Nav to find constellations. One practice was to have the Boom Operator do the sextant readings for the Nav while the Nav was trying to plot them. During a return flight from Europe back in the 70's the plane was over the Atlantic when one of the overhead windows blew out and the plane experienced a rapid decompression. It did this during one of the star plots. When a plane has a rapid-D it does it with considerable force. The force was great enough that it sucked the boom operator partially through the window port. The BO was killed instantly with the force. The Aircraft commander opted to leave the boom in place. Oddly enough he created enough of a seal to allow the plane to be pressurized through the remainder of the flight.

It is said that this jet is haunted with his ghost. I don't particularly don't believe in ghosts. There are maintainers to this day that will not go in the plane by them selves. There have been stories that people in the jet hear voices. Supposedly there have been stories of crew members seeing shadows near the sextant station and personnel claiming to see an individual wearing a flight suit walking around the inside of the jet at night. Who knows, sometimes the imagination can play tricks on you especially when you have a preconceived notion. I flew the plane about a dozen or so times, even been in the jet by my self at night to do initial pre-flight and never experienced anything weird. Maybe it did not want to show itself to me, who knows. In my hometown of Portsmouth, there is a large Naval Hospital. Building 1, the original hospital building, has a colorful history, and is rumored to be quite haunted. Back when I was a paramedic, we would transfer naval wives about to deliver their baby to Building 1, where the maternity ward was. I never experienced anything myself, but I heard the stories about the ghostly nurse that roamed the halls of the maternity ward, the ghost of the confederate soldier who died in the dungeon in the basement, and ghosts of people who died from Yellow Fever there.

The top of the building has a dome, and it was the original operating room. The dome would open to allow light in for the surgeries. My understanding is that the operating room has its share of activity, including voices, lights turning on and off, and doors slamming shut.

Also, not too far away is Fort Monroe. About two months of moving in I was sitting on the couch when I saw a figure walking down the hallway. At first I thought it was my wife, but the figure was taller and wearing what looked to be like a Stetson. I got up and walked down the hallway and asked my wife if she saw anything and she said no and looked at me like I was crazy. A few weeks go by and I am in our kitchen when Insee the same figur walking down the hallway towards the kitchen. Curious I walked towards it and said "hey". He kept walking and walked through me sending chills up and down my body. I turned around and he was gone. About three days later I saw another shadow figure about the size of a little kid. I asked "who are you" and it disappeared. About two weeks after seeing the child figure I saw it again and being the smart ass I was I asked it to do something. I blew it off and resumed my normal duties on the couch. A few minutes later I got up to get a beer and one of our kitchen canbniets was opened. I shut it not thinking much about it. When I got up later to grab another beer the same cabinet was opened again. I shut it and went back to the living room. Again, I got up to grab another beer and the same door was opened, but, this time my wife was in the kitchen. I told her to shut the cabinet doors when she is done and she replied, "I didn't open it". I told her what had happened and she told me it is probably the shadow figure of the little girl that she has seen and heard around the house. I told her to please elaborate and she went on to tell me that one night after our girls had fallen asleep she heard laughter coming from our oldest daughters room. She said that when she went to go see why our oldest was awake and laughing that our oldest was indeed in bed asleep. A few nights later me and the wife were watching a movie after our girls went to bed when I heard my daughters little electric piano start to play. When Inwent into her room the piano was playing with the power off. I told my wife to come check it out and when she arrived it stopped. Than there was the one time I had put a fresh case of cold beer bottles on the bottom shelf of the refrigerator after work. While I was watching the evening news Inheard the bottles fall over. Curious, I walked over and open the door to see several bottles knocked over. Kinda freaked me out as Indid not hear the fridge door open. Another time my daughters marker purse thingy started rolling on the coffee table. When I saw it Intold my wife to look and when she did she said stop it and leave it alone. At that time it stopped rolling and you could see the little shadow figure walk away. We still see the tall and child like figure every now and than. I don't know who or why they are here but they are peaceful and just like to remind us that they are hear. We have never felt threatened or acres of them. Seeing all of this in the last three years has made me a believer. Part of it was used for the post guard. We'd spend 24 hr shifts there rotating to wherever we had duty and slept there. Part of it was also where we did the first 2 weeks of PLDC(the other 2 weeks were at Camp Hinsch). I don't recall how many MILES of hallways they said were there. All wooden floors etc. Stories of deceased Soldiers, nurses etc walking the hallways at night. Def a creepy place. They have since tore it down and now it's a family housing area. The building housing the Security Forces Group used to be the base hospital. It was rumored the unoccupied third floor had a psych ward when it was the hospital and was haunted. A few Marines were goofing around with a Ouija board and it started freaking them out, so the burned it.

Within the next week, strange things were being reported... Screaming from the woods, female Marines reporting that they woke up in the middle of the night to find the door wide open and their underwear pulled down to their ankles, remote controls spinning and being hurled across the room, chairs rolling around on their own, little girls voices being heard in rooms.

Firewatch was doubled, with a permanent sitting post in front of the female barracks rooms, but the same things were being reported, doors opening on their own, doors slamming on their own, etc.

Eventually the currently standing order came down that Ouija boards are banned in Courthouse Bay. That is a real order, because of real things that occurred. I was down on the 6th deck in one of the weapons magazines. I heard tie down chains being dropped in the magazine above me on the 5th deck. But didn't really think much about it. It continued to get louder and the sound of them being dropped was getting more frequent. I got to the point of climbing up the ladder to see what they were doing in there, but the magazine was locked from the outside. I went back down to the magazine I was in, and never heard another sound for the rest of the time I was down there that day. Nowadays it's known as Stewart international airport but back in the 80's and 90's it was Stewart Army Airfield. Lots of the old buildings still stand and growing up being Army brats we always heard the stories about those buildings being haunted. Service members you died there and still walked the buildings at night stuff like that. From what I remember those buildings were off limits to everyone and people would claim that the lights were on in some of them.
