Anti-war congressman Alan Grayson (D-FL) is known for being virulently critical of national defense practices, but new video footage shows the Congressman calling members of the military and intelligence community “stupid” with “salad on their uniforms.”
The video, first obtained by Politico, takes place at a fundraising event in California, in which the Florida Democrat tells the small crowd:
“When they started to give us the military briefings, the generals walk in with all that salad on their uniforms in front… You quickly realize that they literally don’t know what they’re talking about. The so-called intelligence community is the stupid community.”
Grayson continues lambasting members of the military by telling the crowd “they’re the worst ones of all.”
He also insisted that various intelligence agencies are “faking” reports about Syria in an effort to propel “another dumb war.” Grayson continued:
“I mean, these people pretend to know everything that they pretend to know. They don’t know it at all.”
A spokesman for Grayson’s Senate campaign responded to the video. In a statement to IJ, Kevin Franck wrote:
“Alan Grayson is certainly not the first person to criticize the intelligence community’s briefings to Congress on the Syria conflict and domestic spying. Rep. Grayson is smart enough to weigh the information he gets from the intelligence community when they brief Congress against other sources of information available to him, and he has the guts to speak out when he thinks they are wrong.”
Grayson isn’t a stranger to outlandish statements. He’s likened conservatives to members of the Ku Klux Klan and once even referred to his own wife as a “gold digger.”
Amid a tense Senate primary in Florida with Rep. Patrick Murphy, Grayson is certainly not toning down his unabashed liberal persona.
Looking to fill the seat held by Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL), Grayson believes he can win, saying his fellow Democrats “are willing to crawl over hot coals naked” to vote for him.

First off, he is a FL congressman, giving a speech in California. He is a douche. Fortunately he is not in my district. He is running for Marco Rubio's seat? Fuck that guy! Anyone who refers to the military as The worst ones of all is not fit be the toilet valet in a brothel nevermind a US representative. I wonder if the people of Orlando (his district) feel the same way. Oh wait, no I don't I know that the opinion he expressed would not fly with, well pretty much anyone.

SFC Dr. Joseph Finck, BS, MA, DSS all you can do is vote your conscience, and hope for two things. Hope that the person you voted for is elected, and hope that once elected they don't go into full on selfish, greedy, douchebag mode. Sadly that does not happen very often.
