Global warming + unemployment = ISIS. What do you think?

*Edit* Bernie Sanders has notoriously doubled down on said theory.* State Department Spokesman Marie Harf infamously claimed that joblesness causes young muslim men to want to wage jihad. Democrat presidential candidate Martin O'Malley claims that global warming was the genesis for ISIS. There seems to be credible evidence to the contrary in that the TN jihadi was well off, well educated, and by most accounts not suffering from any other oppressive setbacks or disadvantages. The same holds true for the 2009 Ft Hood jihadi now serving a special duty assignment in Leavenworth. As to ISIS in Syria and Iraq, may I present Saudi Arabia, Qatar, UAE as contrary evidence. Muslim countries, low employment rates of about 30-40%. The difference is how they manage their resources. If ISIS members truly wanted employment they could easily work in iraqi oil fields, pipeline, refinery and terminal operations, not to mention work with the Kurds (haha, funny, I know) to encourage agriculture.

Do you believe what they're telling you?

Now I'd like to offer a possible solution: The coming mini ice age. There it is. The antidote to global warming, and the solution to isis. Apart from eradicating them militarily we have hope for the future because one of the main causes of ISIS will be gone. The sun will go to sleep, the earth will cool, young muslim men won't have to languish in un-airconditioned discomfort. They'll be able to go out and start a garden, shovel snow for extra money, and all will be right with the world.

I say there are probably a million different things that you can point to and say that is why the ISIS started. Global warning, economy, the invasion into Iraq in 2003, or just the fact that the Middle East has always been at war with someone over the past 2000 years.

They have been fighting for centuries. The bottom line is the fighters, who are uneducated and are being manipulated by the leadership, who are educated. They are promised money, food and other stuff while being filled with their perverted twist of the quran. Because they are providing the with all stuff they didn't have before they become brain washed and really believe in their ideals and their version of the quran. My thoughts.

ISIS is strictly an extreme religious ideology called Islamic Terrorism and it's not caused by global warming (which I believe doesn't even exist) or unemployment. It's caused by adults (if you can call them that) brainwashing children.

I think it was hot in the Middle East long before global warming.
They're right about one thing though. If we didn't need to buy their oil, there wouldn't be an Al Queda or ISIS. When the day comes that the oil runs out or is no longer needed in the West, there will be a reckoning for all of these governments in the area.

That is a Far Stretch of the imagination with the Global Warming making someone a Terrorist but Unemployment, Time on a Disaffected Youths Hands feeling like everyone is down on him, no one wants to hire him, logs onto a Jihadi Site and they promise him the Moon and the Stars, A romantic, religious, war.
