For prior service, you shouldn&#39;t have to deal with the DS much. In my AIT, prior service people were in separate barracks from us IET soldiers and then outside of class I think we were told to basically just not even hang out with them. As a former infantry soldier, they will probably use you in some sort of leadership position within your class. Embrace.
