We departed Bethlehem, PA, at 0700 and didn't leave D.C. until 1600, arriving at the Sands Casino for dinner at Emeril's around 2000.<br /><br />We visited the Iwo Jima Marine Corps memorial, WW2 memorial, Korean War Memorial, and the Vietnam War memorial. It was a powerful and emotional day for all of us.<br /><br />One of the highlights was singing patriotic songs as the WW2 memorial. It attracted a large crowd of tourists who shook hands with us, hugged us, and thanked our veterans for their courage, sacrifice and dedication to our country.<br /><br />Photos will be shared soon.<br /><br />This trip takes place every year around this time. We are always looking for WW2 and Korean War Veterans (whose numbers are very sadly dwindling year after year) to attend our trip.
