I changed Air Force to Army but that was nearly 30 years ago. I didn&#39;t have to do any schools because my Air Force specialty code translated into a couple of Army MOS, so I was MOSQ from the start. I would imagine that the reverse is more difficult because the USAF and Navy career fields tend to be more technical than Army MOS. The rest will depend on the Navy recruiting policies at that time SFC Private RallyPoint Member Tue, 01 Sep 2020 12:04:00 -0400 2020-09-01T12:04:00-04:00 Response by Lt Col Jim Coe made Sep 1 at 2020 2:07 PM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/has-anybody-changed-branches-specifically-army-to-navy?n=6267833&urlhash=6267833 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>My daughter went Air National Guard to Navy Reserve. She had about a 10-year break in service. During that time she completed her BSN, MSN, and Nurse Practitioner plus nursing experience. She resigned from ANG and completed her contract in the IRR. When she decided she wanted to serve, she went to recruiters for all the services, active, reserve, and Guard. Navy Reserve gave her the best deal. Counted all of her &quot;good&quot; years in Guard and IRR time toward total service. Offered her direct commission in Nurse Corps as a Lieutenant (O-3), a nurse practitioner billet, and a drill location reasonably close to her home. Her Medical Officer Training was 4 weeks--mostly history, mission capabilities, customs and courtesies. She did have to pass physical and Navy physical fitness tests. After about 8 years, she was recently selected for Commander (O-5). It’s much easier if your a reservist. I went from the Corps to Air National Guard to Navy Reserve back to Air National Guard. I enlisted on the Reserve side as after a 9 year break under the PRISE-R program. The available rates were extremely limited and only a few required A School. The rate I selected didn&#39;t so all I had to do was pass the E4 exam with a 36% to make the rate permanent LTJG Dave Dempsey Sun, 15 Nov 2020 20:41:51 -0500 2020-11-15T20:41:51-05:00 Response by PO1 Larry Monroe made Nov 21 at 2020 4:09 PM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/has-anybody-changed-branches-specifically-army-to-navy?n=6519624&urlhash=6519624 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I went Navy to Army, boot camp in both.
