And it was pretty miserable, especially being a snowbird. But that was half the fun, sucking right along with everyone else. My old team medic just graduated this fall and says it&#39;s really been watered down. To the point there is no more bell... there was an infamous bell and it rang constantly up until blackday when they would sort of ease up. They never let up on the &quot;hotels&quot; though, they are shit from start to finish. In any case, he tells me that unless you quit, u will make it through. Sad, but it&#39;s the state the Army is in. And unless the MTOE has significantly changed, there are no 11B In SOAR(A) Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Feb 6 at 2018 1:07 AM 2018-02-06T01:07:33-05:00 2018-02-06T01:07:33-05:00 SGM Bill Frazer 3328357 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>1. Look do you want to be the best of the best? 160th get the best equipment cause they do the hairiest missions and make it look like a walk in the park. What do you want out of your time in the Army? 2. I imagine it is a bitch, or just anybody could make it. It was grueling but never felt like I had to or wanted to quit. Some of the great aspects of the SOAR is they focus on the job. In my one year tenure, I had not gone on any details. Some of the TDY trips were fun. We stayed in hotels and got a rental van for my small section.
