You can wear it during regular pt if you are on profile but you would not clear medical or graduate from BCT being on a profile. The duck walk knocks out most people with knee issues <br /> Lots of people in the Army have a torn meniscus and do just fine, it&#39;s simply a matter of how functional you are with your injury Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Nov 28 at 2018 10:49 AM 2018-11-28T10:49:39-05:00 2018-11-28T10:49:39-05:00 SrA John Monette 4166330 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div><a class="dark-link bold-link" role="profile-hover" data-qtip-container="body" data-id="1591256" data-source-page-controller="question_response_contents" href="/profiles/1591256-stanley-isma">Stanley Isma</a> wait until that is completely healed to go. that way, if you reinjure it, you might be able to get a disability rating once you leave the military Response by SrA John Monette made Nov 28 at 2018 3:35 PM 2018-11-28T15:35:24-05:00 2018-11-28T15:35:24-05:00 SSG Eddye Royal 4166861 <div class="images-v2-count-2"><div class="content-picture image-v2-number-1" id="image-285166"> <div class="social_icons social-buttons-on-image"> <a href='https://www.facebook.com/sharer/sharer.php?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.rallypoint.com%2Fanswers%2Fhas-anybody-made-it-through-basic-and-ait-with-a-torn-meniscus%3Futm_source%3DFacebook%26utm_medium%3Dorganic%26utm_campaign%3DShare%20to%20facebook' target="_blank" class='social-share-button facebook-share-button'><i class="fa fa-facebook-f"></i></a> <a href="https://twitter.com/intent/tweet?text=Has+anybody+made+it+through+basic+and+AIT+with+a+torn+meniscus%3F&amp;url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.rallypoint.com%2Fanswers%2Fhas-anybody-made-it-through-basic-and-ait-with-a-torn-meniscus&amp;via=RallyPoint" target="_blank" class="social-share-button twitter-custom-share-button"><i class="fa fa-twitter"></i></a> <a href="mailto:?subject=Check this out on RallyPoint!&body=Hi, I thought you would find this interesting:%0D%0AHas anybody made it through basic and AIT with a torn meniscus?%0D%0A %0D%0AHere is the link: https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/has-anybody-made-it-through-basic-and-ait-with-a-torn-meniscus" target="_blank" class="social-share-button email-share-button"><i class="fa fa-envelope"></i></a> </div> <a class="fancybox" rel="6c7d40558d8244875f2e3cd8c751688c" href="https://d1ndsj6b8hkqu9.cloudfront.net/pictures/images/000/285/166/for_gallery_v2/3f75ee1.jpeg"><img src="https://d1ndsj6b8hkqu9.cloudfront.net/pictures/images/000/285/166/large_v3/3f75ee1.jpeg" alt="3f75ee1" /></a></div><div class="content-picture image-v2-number-2" id="image-285167"><a class="fancybox" rel="6c7d40558d8244875f2e3cd8c751688c" href="https://d1ndsj6b8hkqu9.cloudfront.net/pictures/images/000/285/167/for_gallery_v2/fb376fa.jpeg"><img src="https://d1ndsj6b8hkqu9.cloudfront.net/pictures/images/000/285/167/thumb_v2/fb376fa.jpeg" alt="Fb376fa" /></a></div></div>Stanley Isma, Ma’am, this was me going through Basic Training at FT. Campbell, KY. 1985. I went through with one then they had to brake the other leg, because I damage my spine, but I told the leaders their was nothing #WRONG with my MIND.<br /><br />Anything quarter I rode to class, and help setup class so my group didn’t think I was using it for being lazy; I was 16.
