My question has anyone else had the issue of ordering the gear oil and how long it could take, or would I be better off finding it off base at a auto store and buying it out of pocket if it's taking to long or having ordering issues. Any maintenance people or supply who know any tricks or info would be great. Maybe if there is a TM you can look in there. Only 3 approved brands for this NSN. I would not buy oil out of my own pocket. Semper Fi. If it's needed bad enough, the Command can put a priority on it. If you get something and it frags the part, you own it along with the grief that comes with it. Also, every penny that gets in your pocket has a better use than trying to overcome ineptitude at work. CAPT Kevin B.
