LTC Robert Baumeister 6205835 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I had my done at WAMC/Ft Bragg in 2001, and have bad halos at night, to the point where I get wash out from bright lights/oncoming vehicles. Its been documented on all my annual army physicals. Im now retired. I recently submitted a claim to the Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA) compensation and pension, and then directed to receive an eye exam (via vba appointed contractor doctor, not at the VA hospital/clinic). I was (poorly) diagnosed with &#39;dry eye syndrome&#39; by a contractor doc who had less than 1 year experience handling claim examinations. This label does not accurately describe my issues and limitations with my vision. The VBA claim examiner then ruled that my condition is &#39;not disabling&#39; and that prk is an &#39;elective surgery&#39; thus was deemed NOT service connected.
