I cracked a number of vertebrae in my lower back from a training accident Fast Roping from a helo. I could walk, but was in severe pain. They wanted to do surgery, but I refused. What brought me the most relief, was doing Yoga, Pilates, and a lot of planks. Wish I had more advice for you, sorry. If you need any exercise tips, let me know. Best of luck to you buddy! The board is only temp. You'll have to go again and again. The VA barely listens to the boards recommendations.
