Officers coming in at all times yelling at us, sometimes bringing us outside for hours long smoke sessions. We were not allowed to talk during our meals until we "earned" the right to do so.

After a while it did get a bit better, Went to two man rooms but officers would still harass us. If we left something unlocked they would toss the locker contents out in the hall. We had to run everywhere in formation. 12+ hour work days were the short days. Anyone on base could stop me and request my "pink slip" which they would then send to my command telling them whatever mistake, no matter how minor, that I had made and I would be forced to walk in circles for hours.

One time, "for training purposes" they put us in a room and slowly took all of the oxygen away just to watch how we reacted. Another time, they spun us around on a chair just to watch us get sick.

1/10 would not recommend. The base is small without a ton to do in/around town; however, Pensacola and Destin are only a ~2 hr. drive, so the weekends are great for the beach. It is surrounded by the towns of Enterprise, Ozark and Dothan which are also small with not much to offer. There are 5 lakes (with alligators) on post ranging from small to very large, and designated hunting areas. Only a few bars in town, which will always be packed with other SM's (which may be considered a good or bad thing). Panama City, Destin and Pensacola are all roughly 2 hour drives and good for day trips. An overnight stay is usually a must if travelling the four hours up to Atlanta. Obviously it's hot and humid. It's a good place to slow down if you're coming from a high ooptempo.

Great place to network and make connections for later in your career..
