I'm reclassing to 92Y from Infantry for an AGR job. Just wondering who has been to Camp Murray, WA?
Specifically:
Weekends / Evenings
POV / Rental Cars
General view on the school house and environment
I absolutely love Washington. When I was active duty I did some sick training at Fort Lewis and was all over the place during every free minute. Repeat of that? Yes, please! Thanks for your time and input, gang.

Spent many years at camp Murray, you are right at Ft. Lewis so if you know the area from Ft Lewis then you know camp Murray . Good post but small with some older buildings. Politics like every place but I enjoyed my time there. Retired in 2007 so things could have changed

Camp Murray, yes...my last unit was positioned there until 2013. It is the state HQ.

SSG (Join to see) - I'll refer you to my old 1SG who works in the J-9. When I was in the WAARNG, RTI was not on Murray. 1SG Jeffrey Grice

SSG (Join to see) - I found them to be a professional organization. But personnel and commands change and that sets the climate

Great place, quite and American Lake is at the door step. There is a 3.4 MILES perimeter course that you can run and scenes of American Lake, woods, and a stretch of I-5 (noisy and busy). I am with the USPFO and work as the PBO in BLDG 32. Come and visit sometime.
There is lots to do here:
snowboarding, skiing, hiking, fishing, national parks, 3.5 hours within reach to Vancouver, Canada Seattle/Tacoma/Olympia night life, etc...
