Has anyone cleared CIF while retaining all TA50 (RFI included) to next duty station?

They give you the memo you need at CIF, just call them ahead of time. There will be a few items you need to turn in

I had my Branch Manager put in my orders that I was to carry forward my CIF issue from losing station in my orders because my gaining unit didn’t have CIF but I needed CTA 50.

Yes. Tell CIF that HHG already packed your stuff and shipped it. Worked for me from Drum to Riley (Although they actually did).

I have never heard of anyone removing CTA-50 from the post it was issued, I would hazard a guess that a statement of charges may appear out of nowhere one day when that CIF does an inventory. I can tell you that I know 1st hand that a CIF facility didn't have "ANY" record of RFI issues from many units due to the contractor being fired and purging its records. We are talking millions of dollars in equipment. That particular CIF told Soldier they could leave the gear with them (No hand Receipt) which was quickly laughed at. I am sure those Soldiers many who are not in uniform anymore still have the gear just incase they get a letter.

I personally haven’t but I’ve heard it just takes a memorandum from your CO and it’s a terrible idea cause if your missing something then you have to buy it at your next duty station
