Has anyone ever got a waiver approved for reentry code 3 and separation code JFV with mental health issues on medical records?

PFC Brian Johnson Below is your previous post from March 2021 which is close to being a duplicate post. Did you talk to a Recruiter or act on any of the other recommendations from your earlier post?

SPC (Join to see) - this second post was basically the same as the first post and he would have his answers if he had followed the excellent advice that was provided on the first post.

Sgt (Join to see) - The first post is specifically asking if a reenlistment with code JFV and a history of suicidal thoughts is possible, this one is specifically asking if anyone has actually done it before. While I agree that both posts are similar the actual question is clearly different, it is possible this person is seeking reassurance that they aren't breaking new ground by trying to reenlist with a history of mental health issues. Also, unless your privy to information that I'm not seeing anywhere, there is nothing to suggest that the information in the original post wasn't followed.

It's probably one of the hardest RE-3s out there to get a waiver for and may as well be an RE-4, but I'm sure it's been done. But you have to meet like a bunch of conditions (like being off any medications for a set number of years, and I don't mean just stop taking your meds, but like a Doctor saying you didn't need them) and being cleared by multiple physicians saying that you have no suicidal idealogy, etc. Your prior service record probably matters some too. Say you're a guy with a Silver Star who had a moment of weakness because of PTSD and got booted out, they might be more willing to work with you rather than just some Joe who couldn't cut it and said he wanted to kill himself. But who knows, every case is different and the only way you're going to find out is a Recruiter putting in the leg work and going to MEPs.

This question was to see if anyone has been through the same situation as me and I am talking to a recruiter already just trying to see the success rate

I don't have any information to offer you but I wish you the best of luck with your reenlistment. I'm sorry that so many NCOs appear to have jumped on you for your duplicate post that wasn't actually a duplicate post. During my time in service I was taught that attention to detail was an important aspect of being an NCO, it's unfortunate that doesn't seem to be the case here on Rallypoint.

I have seen someone get in the Navy with that. It's a lot of paperwork, money, and determination.
