Henry, MBA 8113592

No, but I did spend June and July training Ukrainian troops with The Mozart Group. We trained them on Infantry tactics near Kyiv, and east of Pokrovsk. The city was rocketed while we were there, a couple of klicks away. Pokrovsk was the easternmost place we could get lodging and food. It also received rocket attacks. We would drive east to within artillery range to train the troops. One day we saw a power facility hit by artillery. We cut training short to avoid becoming a target of opportunity for the drone conducting the BDA. At the end of the training cycle we went to the 54th Mechanized Infantry Brigade Combat Readiness Officer's HQ nearby for a thank you dinner. Artillery landed within a couple of hundred meters while we ate. We also took humanitarian aid to Maryinka. We had to hide behind buildings to avoid direct fire from the Russians. Part of our team navigated down a road that had previously been safe, to reach some folks who needed help. Upon arrival they were informed that that route was no longer safe as it had taken a tank main gun round that morning, just a few hours prior.
Despite the legal drama that is causing some difficulty with TMG, I observed an extraordinarily professional organization making a real difference while I was there. Elements of TMG also do civilian extractions, and they took 30mm fire during some of their work while I was in country but on a separate assignment. Response by SPC Elijah J.
