PO1 Nick Smith 3617120 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Applying for OCS in National Guard, I was told I&#39;d keep previous rank (E6), and stay in a separate room not open bay barracks. Has anyone gone from Navy to Army or National Guard recently? Did you get to keep your previous rank? How were sleeping arrangements? 2018-05-10T19:53:44-04:00 PO1 Nick Smith 3617120 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Applying for OCS in National Guard, I was told I&#39;d keep previous rank (E6), and stay in a separate room not open bay barracks. Illinois does not have separate rooms for OCS candidates. Good luck! Accommodations will depend on what is available where the State runs it&#39;s schools. Are you going to do the long program or the accelerated OCS? What branch did you want to go for? Are you going grad school now or soon? I only ask that, as the sooner you&#39;d get it out of the way, even for masters level, as well as any PME you&#39;d have to do after the OCS, I !erely offer that as a thought, I realize Natl Guard might be different, I was just wondering, if you might be able to elaborate at all...interesting question.... Possibly OIS direct commission programs? Are you STEM background for your major? Also, GPA, if you might care to say as well, just thought to ask, many thanks, hope is of use and/or interest.... <div class="pta-link-card answers-template-image type-default"> <div class="pta-link-card-picture"> <img src="https://d26horl2n8pviu.cloudfront.net/link_data_pictures/images/000/289/551/qrc/banner.jpg?1526022633"> </div> <div class="pta-link-card-content"> <p class="pta-link-card-title"> <a target="blank" href="http://www.ocsfoundation.org">OCS Foundation</a> </p> <p class="pta-link-card-description">SERVICES FOR: Candidates Alumni Officer Families</p> </div> <div class="clearfix"></div> </div> Response by Capt Daniel Goodman made May 11 at 2018 3:13 AM 2018-05-11T03:13:28-04:00 2018-05-11T03:13:28-04:00 2018-05-10T19:53:44-04:00
