Has anyone gone from USMCR to NG and completed a Warrant Officer package? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/has-anyone-gone-from-usmcr-to-ng-and-completed-a-warrant-officer-package <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>My contract with the USMCR is coming to an end (05/17). I&#39;ll have 8.5 years in. I am really looking into trying to put in a Warrant Officer package in the National Guard to fly Helicopters. Has anyone gone this route? I would find a NG recruiting office and get more detailed information. Just some advice, if your goal is to fly, don&#39;t limit yourself to just Kentucky or to just the Army Guard, the Army Reserves, and other reserve branches have rotary pilots slots as well, also don&#39;t limit yourself just to the warrant option to fly, in certain cases commissioning to fly, can be a point of less resistance, to get your wings. And if your ultimate goal, is still to be a warrant aviator, you can always transition from commission to warrant.
