Has anyone had a psych consult at MEPS, specifically for ADHD?

My recruiter has never heard of such a thing, and is debating if it’s worth trying to pass.

If you want to be in the military, it’s definitely worth trying!! That said, diagnosed ADHD would require a waiver and if you are treated by any stimulants, you will need to be off of them for a year before you can join

There have been many Psych consults at MEPS or the Doctors, normally for getting a wavier approved. Its not your recruiter's life it's yours- you want in, and they say do the consult, then do it.

This is one of those things you have to weigh. People with ADD and ADHD have difficulties entering the military depending on the severity of the disorder. If you’re motivated, try it! The consult is not honestly that bad.
