Has anyone had an ETS date that conflicts with a current mobilization they were on? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/has-anyone-had-an-ets-date-that-conflicts-with-a-current-mobilization-they-were-on <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I am currently on a MOB that should end by September but my ETS date is in July. I was told I would have to extend into my IRR time so it would force me to stay in the reserves for another 2 years. I was told my only other option would be to get my orders amended so that I am off the mob by the time my ETS date comes, which is nearly impossible. I would like to extend until the mob is over but I was told that was not an option. Does anyone have any insight on this? That&#39;s wrong, you should be able to extend say 6 months to get you home and a cushion to get your paperwork in order to ETS. Sounds like your command is messing with you SSgt Private RallyPoint Member Tue, 16 Mar 2021 22:37:39 -0400 2021-03-16T22:37:39-04:00 Response by SSG Brian G. made Mar 17 at 2021 2:35 AM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/has-anyone-had-an-ets-date-that-conflicts-with-a-current-mobilization-they-were-on?n=6829916&urlhash=6829916 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>That is not right. So your ETS is in July, they just cut you orders to send you home in time. You do not have to extend anything. You cannot be forced to extend except through some very specific circumstances. I ets october of 2019 for my 6 year contract in the NG. I mob 2019 and they told me i would have extend for 1 year to cover the deployment i did and went 1 year into my IRR time. Covid hit and we got extended a month and i ets before we came back, I kept reminding them i had to re enlist ( which i wanted to) but they kept pushing it back until they gave me the option to come back 1 month before everyone else october 20202. On my way back i met a active duty guy who ets in 4 months and was mobilized and just came back 5 months before everyone else. So either they extend you 6 months or you would come back early. You don’t have to extend 1SG Leroy Lucero Wed, 17 Mar 2021 09:07:22 -0400 2021-03-17T09:07:22-04:00 2021-03-16T20:18:30-04:00
