Has anyone had any POSITIVE interactions with the VA?

I am currently going through the med board process and I have had a couple of my appointments with the VA and all I ever hear is terrible things about the VA. Not having too bad of a time so far, just looking for any other input.

All all the heat that the VA is getting over the back log of claims and slow college payments, I'm just wondering if anyone has a good experience story they can share. It can be anything from the benefits side to the health care side.
Was the good experience you had the result of the VA or because one of the employees went out of his/her way to make sure you got squared away?
