Sgt Cody Jones 3431644 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I’ve been waiting 2 months going on 3 for my paperwork to get from Amarillo to Dallas MEPS. I was originally going into the Texas National Guard but found out I would lose rank and would have to wait a while for AGR so I opted to change branches and go Army. I’m a Prior Service Marine who got out last Aug. Can it be know to take this long? Thank you in advance for the comments. Has anyone had to deal with a transfer of paperwork from one MEPS to another? 2018-03-09T18:15:13-05:00 Sgt Cody Jones 3431644 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I’ve been waiting 2 months going on 3 for my paperwork to get from Amarillo to Dallas MEPS. I heard people taking up to a year some others took a weeks my case it was a transfer from Miami MEPS to Tampa MEPS took about 1 month but I could say that my recruiter did some leg work to get my files over. I worked at MEPS and we literally sent out MEPS to meps records the same day they got requested or atleast by the end of the week. And they have no excuse because I worked at Atlanta MEPS which is busier than both of those. Mesos one request paper work. Meps two makes a copy, then sends it to meps two. One week is required. The orginal physical remains with meps one. After two yrs all medical and test scores are shredded. Only the recruiter keeps 1966 &amp;all military paper work. After two yrs all paperwork and phy and testing must start all over.
