Has anyone heard of getting treatment through the VA or any branch covering laser hair removal for those with shaving profiles? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/has-anyone-heard-of-getting-treatment-through-the-va-or-any-branch-covering-laser-hair-removal-for-those-with-shaving-profiles <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>From the research I found, Tricare doesn&#39;t pay for laser hair removal. Personally ive never had a profile but everyday shaving has always bothered my neck and ive never tried getting one. Has anyone heard of getting treatment through the VA or any branch covering it? Worst case, ill just pay for it civilian side. Neck shaving is always uncomfortable and never needed neck beard as a civilian anyway. However, the availability and coverage may vary depending on factors like location and medical necessity. It&#39;s advisable to consult with a healthcare provider within the VA system or relevant branch to inquire about eligibility and options. Additionally, for those seeking alternatives or supplementary options, private clinics like <a target="_blank" href="https://rohamedspa.com/laser-hair-removal-etobicoke/">https://rohamedspa.com/laser-hair-removal-etobicoke/</a> offer professional laser hair removal services that can complement any existing treatment plans or fill gaps in coverage. <div class="pta-link-card answers-template-image type-default"> <div class="pta-link-card-picture"> </div> <div class="pta-link-card-content"> <p class="pta-link-card-title"> <a target="blank" href="https://rohamedspa.com/laser-hair-removal-etobicoke/">laser-hair-removal-etobicoke</a> </p> <p class="pta-link-card-description"></p> </div> <div class="clearfix"></div> </div> Jillia Norr Mon, 22 Apr 2024 07:52:13 -0400 2024-04-22T07:52:13-04:00 Response by SGT Private RallyPoint Member made Apr 22 at 2024 6:55 PM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/has-anyone-heard-of-getting-treatment-through-the-va-or-any-branch-covering-laser-hair-removal-for-those-with-shaving-profiles?n=8734101&urlhash=8734101 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>yes. It&#39;s available but where you live the service may not be available thus you would have to travel. The VA needs to be able to be billed in units and not lump sums Also know that laser only works on dark hair this if you have white hair the only way to remove it is via electrolysis . The being able to bill in units is associated with electrolysis. How it is billed with laser is not known to me but I can check with a contact of mine to find out.
