Has anyone heard that you have to be promotable before attending WLC?

Has anyone heard that you have to be a promotable Specialist before attending WLC or vice versa? Although I understand there is a priority system in place for WLC, I have never heard of this requirement until I spoke to someone today. This person was referencing a recent ALARACT/MILPER message.

Has anyone else heard of this, or was this plain misinformation?

I do not think you have to be promotable. You can check on ATTRS and see what the course requirements are for attending.
