We have a research question about the use of video games during and/or post deployment as a way of coping and/or connecting. It could be playing against friends or perhaps with a family member? On all three of my Iraq tours I used video games a LOT to de-stress. It wasn't a specific coping anything, more just a "I am taking some time to relax and do something I enjoy." Not sure if that qualifies for your research, but there it is.

SPC Maurice Williams Yeah, it's a matter of not knowing how to properly set it up with my new (same time purchase) soundbar system. As soon as this whole social distancingvthing ends, I'm gonna have the Geek Squad come over. Unless you live in Huntsville AL and you know how to set up my system, they are likely to be my best bet...(insert hanging head emoji here)

I also played on PlayStation while deployed and when I got home for decompression. I had a very hard time adjusting to civilian life “Still struggle “ and learning to live with and adjusting my life to my disabilities. I had a lot of anger and I guess pulling the trigger in 1st person shooter games helped me vent all that frustration.
