I administered one. It's a tough test if you're a 12 year old boy. Otherwise, it's ridiculous. The deadlift is 200 pounds or so.

I have been retired since 2009 and served under 2 different APFTs. From reading about the new requirements if appears that the new OPAT was developed for the preteen to be able to pass.

I just took it last week. I'm a 31 YO female and was given a one day notice from my recruiter that I needed to take the OPAT. I qualified in the gray category for each of the events except the shuttle run (where I landed in the gold category). Had I more notice, I could have done much better in all events, but I didn't find it particularly challenging.
