Has anyone set up their blackberry to access AKO/Enterprise email?

I recently got a Blackberry Z30 and noticed that it has a native smartcard app. Has anyone used this with a smart card reader to access .mil websites? From what I can find online, it appears that it should be able to be done, and that's what it's designed for, but I haven't been able to find much info.

Same thought I had, but I had the z30 recommend to me because it's far more tolerant of a dusty environment than most smartphones. I'm not a super techy type guy, but I can't see what's not to like about the thing yet.

The CAC card app is no different than the Thursby app you can get for iphones and Android phones. You still cannot connect directly to the exchange server in the manner those with military issued Blackberries could. At best you will only be able to log on to email through OWA with the CAC (you still have to get the CAC sled). Personally, I say you're better off with an iPhone or Android to do the same thing with more supportability.

I actually already switched to the blackberry because my brother has used them for years and says that they hold up to a dusty environment better than anything else. Just happened to notice the app and decided to ask about it before I spent the coin on a Bluetooth card reader.

I had an iPhone in Afghanistan for a whole year and it held up just fine. The concern you need to have is the lack of support Blackberry offers and the fact they are becoming obsolete.
