Has anyone successfully had an RE code waiver approved?

I’m currently doing mine, however I’ve heard mixed stories on it. Does your whole DD-214 change, as In Id get a new copy, with approved code 1? Or does it just mean you can join that branch that it was approved from? Wondering for record keeping. Any information is appreciated.

I have a friend who received a waiver for a re 3. While you’re in service you’ll get another DD214 I received one after my completion of AIT and it’ll list accomplishments and time in service. And yeah, once you receive a waiver most times there is a time period of how long it last and also it’s only for that branch.

If you waiver is approved. The waiver is only for that branch and no other. If you do get in the you will receive another DD214 and your old one is still on file but the new one will Proceed the old one!

I recieved a dd-215 that stated re code was changed from 4 to 3 nothing follows I did not get a new 214

Yes my RE-3 Waiver was approved for the Army. I'm just having difficulty getting an appointment to MEPs

I got an RE 3 in 1998 and received a commission in 2008. Depends on the cause of the separation.

I successfully had my RE code changed from RE-4 to RE-3F allowing me to go into the NG. I had to request the change from BUPERS. I was Active Navy for the record.
