Has anyone successfully transitioned on a waiver? Get promoted to E5, and get 4 solid NCOER and take the tough jobs. That will make you competitive for 255N warrant officer. Response by CW5 Andrew J. They received 14 packets requesting waivers for NCOERs, TABE test, COMPTIA Security Plus certification, and College English requirements (rank would be included in this because as a SPC you would not have any NCOERs) and none were approved. The average rank was E6 with 10 years TIS, over 60% had at a minimum had ALC, and near 70% had more then just Sec+ certification. Don't be discouraged just work hard toward you goal.
