Example is if you were going to get 50% of your High 3. You now get 40% till you are 65 in age.<br />2. If you are not deployed you get taxed and receive only $22k. Versus $30k not taxed if deployed.<br />I myself took the bonus at 15 years in due to the need to pay some expensive bills and work needed on my "gulp" mini van. Also took a great 2 week leave to Colorado driving from Ft Polk.<br />Unless you really need it for bills, repairs, or want it for savings for . The future. I don't recommend it. It is not worth the loss of your retirement for like in my case 27 years.
