Has Fort Hood changed over the years? Is it better or worse?

This is my second time going to Ft Hood. It was my first duty station back in 2000 after Tech school. I remember thinking I joined the AF and am being sent to an Army post. I quickly realized what hard work meant. I gained an appreciation for leader's who were in the weeds with their airmen. I had some really great times, and made some lifelong friends. This could be my last assignment in the Air Force, which would be funny because I could be ending my career where I started. Makes me wonder how much Ft Hood has changed over the years. Is it better or worse? Anyone have any thoughts?

Using the "advance" search tab on here you can find all member currently stationed at FT Hood and connect with them directly. They would be the ones I would ask directly about this topic. Good luck with the transition.

I was there from 2010-2013 and it was probably the best assignment of my career (so far). From what I heard while I was there, it had changed a lot, and for the better, from the early 2000s. The squadron commander and several other personnel have changed since I PCSed out, but I still know a few people there and can probably answer a lot of your questions.
