Doing the right thing doesn't get nearly as many views and likes as doing something stupid and rebellious now-a-days. It depicted strangers competing with one another who had the very lowest of social mores. Jerry Springer took it to a new low. Using these kind of moral examples has been disastrous.Response by SGT Private RallyPoint Member made Jan 18 at 2017 6:34 AM2017-01-18T06:34:24-05:002017-01-18T06:34:24-05:00CPT Richard Riley2258847<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>The sad part is that some have no definition for 'wrong' and coddle a belief that reasoned wrong has a place, that somehow it takes a strong person to go against the grain and act morally incorrect to make some point.Response by CPT Richard Riley made Jan 18 at 2017 7:31 AM2017-01-18T07:31:57-05:002017-01-18T07:31:57-05:00SSG(P) Private RallyPoint Member2258853<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Social media is one small contributor to the problem. The largest culprit of this has been the support of the Liberal Progressive programs by Democratic administrations. It began with Clinton beginning "Political Correctness." It continued with the Obama administration punishing success and rewarding failure (increasing the welfare rolls, giving out free cellular phones, prosecuting those who did not comply with Political Correctness, etc.) When we as a nation hand out trophies for showing up, praise those who break laws, and make celebrities who speak/act out against all that makes America America, we have lost a part of our national soul. The recent temper tantrums by college students and the "Black Lives Matter" crowds being seen as modern-day heroes is evidence enough that we have taken a wrong and dangerous turn as a nation of civilized people. When we allow and celebrate law breakers, we are sliding down that slippery slope into being just another "has been" second or third world nation.Response by SSG(P) Private RallyPoint Member made Jan 18 at 2017 7:34 AM2017-01-18T07:34:50-05:002017-01-18T07:34:50-05:00SSgt Terry P.2258977<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div><a class="dark-link bold-link" role="profile-hover" data-qtip-container="body" data-id="658680" data-source-page-controller="question_response_contents" href="/profiles/658680-31a-military-police">CPT Private RallyPoint Member</a> What i see is discourtesy and disregard for anyone but self, which leads to doing wrong because the moral compass is out of order.Response by SSgt Terry P. made Jan 18 at 2017 8:36 AM2017-01-18T08:36:53-05:002017-01-18T08:36:53-05:00Cpl Justin Goolsby2259154<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Yes. People used to aspire to be celebrities, but thanks to the Internet, people aspire to "go viral".
