The SECDEF pushed out a memo highlighting that he is going to ask the President for a waiver if, by Sept 15th, the FDA hasn&#39;t fully certified. Last I heard, it&#39;s expected to be FDA certified by end of the month, beginning of Sept. The memo said that by 15 Sept or when fully certified, whichever comes first, it will be mandatory giving leaders time to come up with a plan for those who have not yet been fully vaccinated to do so. <br /><br />Once it is either fully certified or there&#39;s a waiver, there will likely be a memo from the SECDEF that states it&#39;s mandatory and then further guidance. <br /><br />At this time, no it is not mandatory. <br /><br />Side note: This is like the third question in a week about this. What are people&#39;s leadership doing? Just not passing down info?
