I am glad that for those who might be positively affected by this when they decide to further their education at some point down the road, they need not worry about that benefit's clock winding down on them. If one gets a degree, it should be from a ranked and reputable school. One issue with GI Bill was unscrupulous unranked for-profit schools enrolling veteran students with deceptive / misleading advertising. I know that my Post 9/11 GI Bill had a 15 year expiration which I still have plenty of time left on it. Eventually I have plans to go back to school, but personally I feel like waiting until the political climate has cooled a little. Colleges don't seem to be the place where you can exchange ideas and thoughts anymore.

I already have a degree in legal administration. I'm not sure if I want to pursue something higher, or branch out into a different field. I'm not currently utilizing my degree, so I guess it depends on where my current profession takes me. That being said, I have 14 years in and I have two young kids both under 2 yrs old. This will allow me to transfer to them without fear of losing it past the 10 years after I possibly retire.
