Has the playoff system improved college football?

SPC Andrew Ross improved, but there is still a lot to be desired.

It has removed some of the controversy around the final rankings, but I can't see any improvements to the sport overall.

No, because they don't use enough teams. My suggestion? Every major conference champion gets a spot in the tournament, plus the next five highest ranked non-champions, for a total of 16 teams.
