I can't see a relationship between political correctness and the ability to make a decision. Well, maybe just one: Cowardice vs Courage. Political correctness is the restriction of free speech. Yes, it's just that simple. Making a decision requires courage (which is why I convinced, after looking at Barack Obama's voting record as a state legislator and a member of Congress, he is a moral coward). Interestingly, it takes courage to speak freely in a politically correct world. Sadly, I don't think this relates to your question which is why I can't find a place for my response among the choices you offer CPT Jack Durish Thu, 12 May 2016 21:30:59 -0400 2016-05-12T21:30:59-04:00 Response by CPL Byron Williams made May 12 at 2016 11:18 PM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/has-the-politically-correct-atmosphere-created-a-generation-incapable-of-making-decisions?n=1524931&urlhash=1524931 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Its gonna get strange im sure CPL Byron Williams Thu, 12 May 2016 23:18:21 -0400 2016-05-12T23:18:21-04:00 Response by Capt Seid Waddell made May 13 at 2016 12:20 AM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/has-the-politically-correct-atmosphere-created-a-generation-incapable-of-making-decisions?n=1525078&urlhash=1525078 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>No, they can make decisions - but the emotional thinking behind them is incapable of making good decisions. I think it is a symptom. I think the idea that parents engrain in their kids about how they are special and amazing no matter what they do causes a lot of this. Kids today are told basically what the answer is instead of figuring it out for themselves. A good example is parents yelling at teachers for "giving" their kid a bad grade instead of asking the kid why they earned the bad grade. So they don't know how to fail and in the absence of an immediate definitive answer, they tend to be indecisive. Granted this does not apply to every Millennial but seems to be a common trait. I don't believe that it makes people incapable of making decisions but it does expose those that are not willing to make a decision and stand by that decision. Leaders will always be leaders regardless of the situation or circumstances that surround them and a huge part of leadership is the ability to make decisions and stick with those decisions. The "PC" issue/problem is that people are hampered when trying to explain reasoning behind those decisions. You see it every single day. For example, yesterday I watched a video where a guy walked around a college campus (all voting age individuals) and asked them a simple question. "Is there a difference between male and female". Not one of them could answer the question. Instead they would give circular answers about how it's not their place to judge and whatever they feel like being or how biology is a social construct.<br /><br />So yes, we are currently raising generations who are more worried about not offending people and praying to the PC god than making a decision and being able to say something as simple as Yes, males have a penis and women have a vagina.
