Has the racial tensions in media filtered affected our military population?

Donald Trump is campaigning an immigration war, multiple incidences of alleged cop abuse against minorities, and the lowering of the Confederate flag in South Carolina due to the recent mass killing at a prominent southern church which is predominantly patronized by the African-American community. Racial divisiveness stories have dominated national and local media outlets and our military population is extremely diverse in race, religious and color groups that work together in high stress and fast-paced operational environments.

MSG Private RallyPoint Member The racial tensions have had no impact on my military duties. I see the biggest impact as the 'normal' party name calling that seems to be routine. As leaders our job is to keep putting emphasis on those attributes that highlight how we work together, not drive society apart.

Politics have never had a place in the workplace. I'd like to think that most people in this organization are smart enough to keep their personal opinions on these highly controversial issues to themselves.
