I've been thinking of using it to help me be able to do certain volunteer stuff I figured they might be able to help me get a chance for, I'd just wondered if any of your used that option at all...I realize most use the paid version, or a version leading to pay eventually, it's that I obv can't use to my total perm disability, which was why I'd wondered if any of you had ever made any use of that option at all, any thoughts would obv be appreciated, I have the literature about it, it's typically for volunteer or goodwill stuff, as I've understood it this far, many thanks....

My wife did back a few years before we were married. She parlayed an unpaid internship into a realty specialist job with US Fish and Wildlife.

Alsod, what is wanted to do wasn't necessarily a Federal job, per se, more volunteering, which after yrs of trying, I've learned over time has rather it's own arcane rules and subculture, in point of fact, surprisingly, esp when one wants to it at the level I seek, and given all the aggravation and heartache my wife and I have had to cope with as I try, which I can assure you had needed rather considerably more luck than sheer experience, honest....

is mean, not that the sun doesn't shine and the world revolve, it's just that sometimes, quite honestlfy, I wish I could apply for a brain transplant, quite honestly, I've learned rather the hard way that one can in fact be too smart for one's I can good, candidly, so believe me, while experience helps, the capacity for rapport, I've found, is often a far more critical aspect needed for success, which is as I'd said, your reasoning is quite sound....

Sorry, another typo, which is why, as I'd said, your reasoning is quite sound....

I have tried using V.A. VOC rehab before.
V.A. VOC rehab gives you some tests to determine what job fields your mentality/abilities fit to guide you into schooling for a specified and qualified school course(s).
I was never able to finish the VOC rehab process, so that is about what I know and can also remember.
EDIT : Also... please remember that there is a time limit on The Montgomery GI Bill of 10 years (last I heard unless it has changed) from the date you leave or left service.

There's a reg covering the unpaid option is found out about, that's why I've been looking into it....

I wish I could help more. Sadly, I never learned more about this. I hope someone else can give a better answer than I did.

I'd seen there's a rule of 12 yrs after a VA disability rating, also, I'm not seeking any school to be paid for, this is just purely volunteer/goodwill stuff, as I'd said....

I think he must be talking about the Independent Living Part. You can use that for anything you want if you wanted to take photography as long as it helps you live more independently you can use it

Yeah, I think it's partially called that, I did see the reg for it, it was listed as OJT, or Monique work experience (NPWE), though it was phrased to me as volunteer/goodwill stuff under VR&E Chap 31 through VA....
